City of Misurata

     Today Misurata is a modern city featured by its buildings, well designed streets, gardens, resorts, and its active markets. Also the city is considered as an industrial and commercial city in which it is the most active in Libya according to the statistics procedures and due to those light and heavy industries a located and the existence of two sea ports.
Some new hotels are also established in the city and there is
some active berths and jetties,  some cultural centers also

exit such as the museum, public and private libraries, publishing centers, scientific associations, which play a vital role to enrich and activate lectures and different scientific conferences, cinema centers, people conferences hall prepared to science conferences forums of science, education and also the city includes some  collages and higher and medium institutes.

Traditional Assets:

 The city is famous  in some unique traditional industries which includes hand made garments and carpets especially in some parts like Gheyran, Az-zarouq and Zawiat Almahjoub, these are famouse in producing Hand made decorative carpets (kleem is the traditional name of such carpets) where as these products are being sold in special market called (Suq Aleffa).
The city also have some assets of what were being used by our grandfathers including wooden and pottery equipments such as Olive oil jar, Pots, Wooden dishes ..etc), where as Tawargha region is famous in some traditional products that made of Palm leaves and stick like some baskets, covers, carpets ..etc
